Perform/Performance/Performative
This half-day symposium discusses the interrelated concepts associated with the words, ‘perform, performance, and performative’ through the work of researchers in choreography, lens-based media, aesthetics, and conceptual art. Each panellist presents and delivers their ideas in various formats unique to their practice within the 30 minutes allocated. Coming from diverse backgrounds, the projects question and challenge the canons, hierarchy, and hegemony constructed by the processes of modernity in each specific and particular research context.
